   Level graphThe last six seconds: your input as a ghost shape, the output as a bright line, and the hatching shows what the gate turned down.

   Open and Close linesDrag either one. Your voice opens the gate at OPEN, and it closes at the lower CLOSE line, so quiet words don't make it flutter.

   Open lightA round light means open. A square with a bar through it means closed.

   ReductionHow far the gate is turning the signal down right now, in dB.

   Transfer graphInput against output. Floor shows how far down a closed gate goes.

   Threshold, Hysteresis and RangeWhere it opens, the gap before it closes, and how deep it goes when closed. All the way up is complete silence.

   Pre-open and timingPre-open starts opening before the sound arrives, so the first letter of a word is never chopped. Hold keeps the tails of words.

   Detector filtersHigh-pass and low-pass on what the gate listens to, so rumble or hiss can't open it. You never hear these filters.
